It would need to be very small grinder due to the location of the bolt itself.Can you not get an angle grinder on that and cut a slot then use an impact screwdriver on it?

I doubt the irwin would work on that style of head, but might be worth a try.
Personally I would look at using a cold chisel and trying to loosen it that way.

As I'm expecting to have to destroy this bolt in order to get the frame out to replace the door catch, I'd like to have a replacement bolt before I start, so I'll get a couple of new ones ordered tonight.Or grind the head off, remove the channel and then work on the remains

Oxford blue - best colour for a 2 (IMO of course)
That looks like "Epsom green". The paint code is on a plate on the front slam panel, under the bonnet.
