It was a lower mileage cluster. I made sure of that. But it didn't update to higher milage. Could've trimmed off 100k if I left it. But as it didn't solve the issue I switched them back.Be careful swapping instrument clusters as if it has a higher mileage on it it will change yours to it, as the cluster and the becm both hold the mileage and if there is a difference found it will go to highest, ( as i found out to my cost i gained 30k just from a quick test )
You can get the core for a couple of hundo, bit fiddler than a whole new turbo, but it is the important bits, assuming the housing wasn't damaged by tired bearings. No , want to pretend there’s nothing to find in there plenty of power @2200 and no way I could afford one now if there is issue. Need to focus on rough transmission UJs and box fluids, any news on torque converter?
3.6 TDV8 I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy..
To be fair, 3.6 throw a pair of turbos at it get rid of the egrs, how much worse then a td6 can it be....3.6 TDV8 I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy..
So just the 1/4 of a tank for you todayBought some jenolite to treat some surface rust on my chassis.
And filled it up today, got a compliment from a gent in an L405 as he was filling at the adjacent pump..
Got chatting with him, distracted only intended to put £40 in it, ended up having the pump click off at £110
Oh well, guess I'll be dailying the P38 for this week!
Here hereYet again another pile of miles with work, then towed all weekend hassle free as usual
Next weekend its another 400 miles with trailer and car on,
Weekend after its towing Aberdeen to Newcastle and back,
Then weekend after i have to take 1 car down then head up with empty trailer and back down with my car, then the same the Monday to get them both home, i genuinely wouldn't be suprised if this things on 200k by xmas time
I really ought too invest in something newer like a tdv8 with a bit more poke about it but i have such a massive respect for this thing

It's not, just take a hlaf turn at a time until you get close.got the tracking done!! now I need to recentre the steering so the steering wheel/steering box are all centred.. dont think thats a big deal?
he had to cut the bolts off the track rod and get heat on it to break the adjuster loose!!! complained and gave up on the steering because oil is dripping and smokingIt's not, just take a hlaf turn at a time until you get close.
Wd40, two 13mm and two 17mm spanners and a good shifter for the adjuster. Tap the collera and around the adjuster to crack any crap free.
