Does he deliver to Bucks? We have a Dingocroft in High Wycombe but they're a tad pricey for P38 parts - if he even has them.

Dont you have motor parts direct there? We did in Warfield. Bracknell. High Wycombe? I lived in maidenhead just off the bath road haha

Gone down to dundee hospital to see my mum used nearly 2lines of fuel on the tank. Averaged 29mpg on way down 142miles each way

Drove to Peterborough for a dragon boat race. 1st time i've run LPG since the new engine fit, all running well but what a difference! The pull at low revs is something else!

Left lights on while was in seeing my mam so yup got stuck with a dead battery :/ 27.2mpg shes done there and back good old rangie :)

Police and firebrigade found the fire to be started by the n/s front wheel. Started by an accelerant. Not my day at all. I thaught somone had fell out the bed then i seen the cloud of smoke fire on the outside of the bonnet and windscreen. Its not even worth claiming if i get 2 back that pays policy and both excesses with 200 to spare :,(

That's beyond ****ty. It's effing arson (unless accidental) And that's what yanks 2 yards of barbed wire through my ass, the garbage with insurance.. in effect you're insured for full loss but get nothing back.

Been off the road for 3 weeks as a trip to N.Wales towing the boat resulted in a trip back on an AA flatbed! No, not the iffy gearbox, but front propshaft let go. :( Thankfully not too much damage, but stoved in the transmission sump, lost all the oil and bust the gear linkage. Took this as hint that it was time to change the box as sticky upshift 3-4 hasn't improved after two oil and filter changes and 3 bottles of Lucas :/

Picked up a cheap Daihatsu Sportrak Elxi as a temp runabout and to get to work - crude but effective and cost under a grand including purchase, tax, insurance, two new tyres, tracking and a towbar - budget motoring!

Picked up a replacement transmission (as mine has done 203K) from rangeroverbreakers in Timsbury and a good s/h shaft off of eBay.

Managed to get her out of 'D' and fired her up a couple of weeks back and winched onto ramps and raised suspension to max.

Today started early and now rear shaft is off (and remains of front), crossmember out and geartrain supported by jack and axle stand... Now starts the job of detaching the transfer box and removing old transmission - could be a long day! :) I can lift the tranmission solo, but as yet not sure of the transfer box, so need to devise a means to lower and move out of the way without too much manual input...

Feel like utter ****e. It may have been a 20year old rough rangie but even the firecrew and police said they were suprised it wasnt rotton anywhere and how smart it looked for its age :( she was my £1100 daily drive and work horse and did me bloody well. Got local Facebook pages posted stuff up and posters up in local shops offering a reward for information to a conviction.

It was arson where she was parked you'd have had to go out your way to do that. It was that hot with just a small flame on bonnet and windscreen it had already melted half the alloy and wing.
