I got my car back! Woohoo. Still got issues with the engine cutting out, but the garage couldn't get the diag to communicate with the BeCM, which is weird. Their guess is a wiring fault somewhere between the OBD port and the BeCM. Never rains but it pours. But at least I have a solid 12 months MoT now.

Corrosion in the OBD connector is the most likely.

According to Nanocom docs, if BECM is locked then diagnostic cannot connect with engine running.

But for engine cutting out they might be better off connecting to the engine ECU ?

SWEET!
My AUDI A8 had a similar issue that turned out to be the Crankshaft Sensor.
How is your recovery going Bix? I bought a BOSCH replacement - 5yr warranty with it - and my trusted mechanic only charged me £20 to fix it:cool:
Mike.

The physio thinks I have broken a bone I'm my ankle. Waiting to get an xray for it. Otherwise the fuzzy headedness is going away and everything else I am told will heal with time. I am the absolute worst passenger now though, I get so anxious that we're going to crash again. Wife tells me I keep having nightmares which wake her up, but I haven't noticed any, so can't be that bad.

When my son had concussion last year from a smack on the head from a propshaft he said it was like being drunk and vision going a blury, i had to play taxi a bit as he found it hard to concentrate, took him a couple of months to get over it he would think i am ok now then bend down to pick something up and woooo not good:(
hope you get 100% soon

Drove it iv done like 700miles in it inc picking it up, got a nail and had to put the spare on then noticed its a 255/50r20 the size its ment to be and its got 255/55r20 on the other 3 it doesn't like it and well i knew 2 needed done soon so im glad I opted for a full set 255/50r20s, iv got tyres they arrived today, and got use of a tyre machine and balancer

Last Sunday while the weather was decent I had a go at replacing the ARB bushes as still chasing a knock. Easy enough to get to but pretty much impossible to get the old bush off so after an hour of getting no where I gave up. I cut along both sides of the bush but no way was it coming off the ARB. I did notice that the clamp wasn't seated right when I removed it and was trapping the old bush so after a good spray of wd40 and some gentle persuasion I refitted the clamp onto the old bush and have been knock free for a week. So having replaced every ball joint it turns out to be a badly fitted clamp from someone elses previous repair.
