Stumbled upon this website and give loads of locations of Fords around the country. Now some are not worth the trek but if close why not get those rubbers wet. I spent 3 hours driving around the Cotswolds driving to all fords that were on WetRoads which were a stones throw from Cheltenham.

This one in particular is in Temple Guiting.

Couple near bourton on the water. ;)
Think there was 3 within a miles of each other.(think that's were you were)

Some of these fords do not allow motors/cars but just check the site.
Best bit about Cotswolds is the scenery this time of year

Keep the photos coming

Yeah i kept well away from doing anything that would tarnish the green lane association (being a member)
I didn't manage to get a photo of the Dunstibourne abbots ford as it was nailing it down outside and the misses refused to take a photo or to have a photo taken... so selfish

It’s on the fosseway from Kemble heading south west towards the M4.

I’ve used wetroads website a few times. It’s got some quite good write-ups on most fords.

Hi all,

Sorry for reviving the thread. Me and some mates are going to Essex tomorrow from Norfolk — has anyone done the UCR section off the Ford at Wagger Farm, and has anyone tried doing the Layham Ford? Thanks

It's an interesting website but some of it is very much out of date.
Really you need to check the relevant online byway map provided by the council, NOT Facebook!

Unfortunately Suffolk doesn’t have one. TW2/FindMyStreet don’t show it, as it’s a UCR it isn’t on the DM, but OS maps show it as a yellow road

You shouldn't need to do this. Its not as if you have to check for any other road.... If it is on the map as a right of way and there are no sign or barriers, then you should assume it is fine to drive.

Only if its on a road.
The website is out of date with regards to some byways.

A byway is a road....
Give it a rest, you know what I mean.
Byways get closed far more often than normal roads, more often than not there is no signs to tell you they have been closed.
I was pointing out, in a helpful way, to the OP that an out of date website isn't the best way to check if a Ford is legal to drive.
