How does the 4wd work on a freelander with no tc? Am I right in thinking that the rear wheels only get power when the front start to spin? Is that what the vcu does?

If so then could the rear diff be welded? It would be awesome on an axel twister if I could be lol

Any body else thought of this?

No serious off roader would by a gaylander. They are ****.
Lol **** boxes -------see what I did???

It would be a pig on the road and tbh I suspect it could probably classed as dangerous.

Well it seems they get more traction than some other Landys ....:fencing:

But no, you most certainly wouldn't want to weld up the rear diff, ours will only use TC in mud pulling a load, never in snow unless you give it a footfull in 1st..

i thought scool yard bulling was left behind when we left school oh wait i know u secretly want a freelander and are not man enough to admit it thats why u need to put down those of us who actually have one

these tratter boys could not afford a decent freelander, (LOL) thats why they pick on us
it is too wet and muggy outside for them to do any welding. tokeep the body work together.

The tratter boy's don't like to admit that not only is the Freelander better on the road but better in the slippery stuff too, and we don't have to be welding the chassis every time it rains!!

Ahem I drove past a few gaylanders the other night because they were stuck in the snow or jam as they didn't have the balls or enough car to drive over the fell....
