weird electrics

brought a new p38 after last one died an ungraceful engine failure an when i brought the new one the stereo worked even without key in the ignition an the heater display use to come on an off as it pleased so i thought id change it today an sort stereo wirin out well this is where it gets weird someone had cut an join the perm live an ignition live together so i rejoin em back together the way they should be an now the heater display will come on an stay on if i dont have stereo on an if stereo is on an i open one of the front windows the stereo goes off but back windows dont affect it an also the lights on auto selector are dull but if i put perm an ignition live together they go bright so any ideas b4 i take it to a auto spark

Probably in the fuse box as that's the common item here. Well known failure point. Cure by renewing. Soon.

new fuse boxx will be ordered on monday an ive rewired it back to how it should be an put up with the quirks lol
