Hello all!

I’ve got a Freelander 2 Td4, Diesel, 2008, 75,000 miles. It drives well, I’ve not noticed any problems but I was looking for something I dropped on the floor earlier and noticed a puddle under the car.

I got under the car as far as I could and found the area it’s leaking from, and tried to get a picture of the leaky area.

I parked it up last night at around midnight and the area was leaking at around 2pm this afternoon.

I was hoping it might be the air con, but I feel like that’s a long time to be actively leaking after use? I don’t know though.

Please would it be possible to throw some suggestions my way of what it could be, and how to go about checking those things?

I’ve not got mechanical knowledge as such but I enjoy fiddling with things and have done a few small repairs myself, so it would be great if you could give me steps on what to check and how to check it?

I’ll include images of where the leaky bit is.
It’s towards the front end of the car. On the images you can see the darkened area that is wet, but the water mostly seems to be coming through the round hole directly underneath that.

Thank you for your help!
