Hi
Car is a 2001 Vogue, lately water is dripping into the passenger footwell, no real correlation with when it rains or not, its finding its way onto the floor via the OBO connector, or at least running down the side of it. Its actually rather alot, the floor is now soaking and seems to get worse the longer I drive! Any ideas where its coming from, I've been thinking it might water from the aircon unit but really am clueless! Hopefully there is greater knowledge out there.

Cheers

Rich

You're probably right - clear out drains under car - piece of wire or like - prepare for wet arms:D

If you're unblocking drain holes, it might be worth checking the drain plug in the spare wheel bay, I know it isn't related to this, but a lot of water collects in that which breeds rust. I was alerted to mine being full of water after someone though it was the fuel tank and shoved a screw driver through it.

My D2 is in the garage today for the same problem. Large wet patch developed on drivers side footwell just under the heater outlet yesterday.

No just water I think....ok so drain holes...where and how do I get to those...and is it a wire coathanger I need to clean them out or something more flexible?CheersRich

Chock car raise to off road setting switch off handbrake on overalls on underneath either side of the gearbox . Yes stiff wire should do

sounds like it could be the pollen filter cover leaking allowing the water to build up by the fan and then dripping out onto the floor in the passenger footwell..........i bet you can guess how i know this ......lol

I had similar problem and I thought it was the AC O Ring at first, but it was real water not coolant, check the Pollen filter and nope, not coming from there. Finally the AC Drain pipe was the culprit... Despite having water getting out of it, the dirt in it was enough for me to get water inside the car.

Yep been there done that.

Probably heater core or drain tubes from air conditioner condensor which can block up with muck and they can also shift down and crimp thus causing leak onto floor.if so you remove the side cover on the transmition hump by taking out the screws and forcing the cover back towards the rear and down thus unclipping it from alongside the Hevac control once done lift out and you will see the drain tube under and foward of the Hevac to re install reverse proceedure be waned you need a grip like steel! O rings on drivers side, so prob not them?
look underneath and each side of gearbox for rubber tubes close to floor to clean out gently insert a stiff wire. If pollen filter cap not fitted properly tho you said not rain oriented.
Hope it helps.
