I've been trying to fix a warm start prob on my mates 2003 TD4.
It starts slightly sluggish from cold, but is impossible to start when hot. First off I changed the glow plugs and relay, as a plug was duff and the relay was cheap. However this didn't work.
Next I got a mate to get me into Landrover at night!, and got on their computer. Which showed no probs with the fuel pump and Injectors, or immob.
I then carried out a leak back test on the injectors just to be sure, but they were fine. This has left me thinking that it maybe a sensor issue. So I ran the engine from cold to hot again, where by it wouldn't start. Then I used plummers freeze spray on the cam sensor to see if it would start. Hence eliminating this sensor. I now plan to try this with the crank sensor and temp sensor today.
However , I would be very happy if someone may have an answer to this, as I'm running out of options!!!

Could the common rail pressure sensor be at fault, letting too much fuel back through the system.( There is absolutely no air leaks)
