help - sorry hello i am a new member in total shock today as my td5 (2001) had few problems misfiring, took it to local garage and they tell me oil up loom thru to the ecu. ordered new loom £350 !!!! plus labour but they say may end up costing thousands !!!!!!!!!!!!!!worried sick can anyone help- hazel

calm down - its a common problem that is easy and relatively cheap to fix. The loom yu need to concentrate on is not the ecm loom, but the injector? loom.

sounds like the garage are trying to bend you over and give you a seeing to if your quite handy its doesn't look like a hard job if not its just a couple of hours work to a landrover specialist

where abouts are you someone on here could recommend somewhere
