Well after the vengeful return of the 3 amigos I had the car interrogated tonight !
The problem is intermittent and after checking all out as far as I could ( see http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f9/freelander-abs-reset-57769-3.html ) it was interesting to see what was thrown up.
Mine is the earlier system with the ECU under the seat .
Initially 6 faults were shown
Pump failure 1, monitor line
Pump failure 3, pump sticking
Shuttle valve switch failure
Rear left outlet valve short to ground
Rear left outlet valve short to internal supply
Rear left outlet valve drive short to supply.
After clearing fault codes it cleared nos 4,5 &6 but retained the first three.
So it looks like my 3 amigos originate from the ABS pump .........
The only thing we couldn't get to display was live stream/speed data from sensors when in motion . The owner of the equipment has kindly offered it to me with manuals to try and get it to operate myself so that's the plan for the weekend.
I really need that info because during the test the four sensors showed the following under the value/status test
FOS 1.54V
FNS 2.27V
RNS 2.27V
ROS 2.27V
Anybody changed out an ABS pump , the Haynes manual suggests it's quite simple but I'd have though bleeding the system would be tricky , and suggestions re sourcing good ABS sensors at non LR prices ?
