pic taken - 04/01/15 (its bloomin cold this morning)

I have fitted a winch bumper and 13,000lb winch with synthetic rope , a 42" light bar and the roof tent. The bonnet mounted spare wheel carrier needs finishing off (the little rubber spacers to hold the wheel sensibly) Also added the different lights, led side lights, and grill muff.

The 33" x 12.50" tyres really help on the lane to our house and the 30mm wheel spacers give it a wide stance look. They have also helped a little with the extra weight on the roof from the roof tent - it doesnt roll so much :)

Its also got

  • Mantec rock sliders
  • Salisbury rear axle
  • tweaked diaphragm
  • storage box in the back (full of all recovery gear, so its nice and tidy and the kids dont hurt themselves on it)
  • pair of 3 person bench seats

Today I tried to sort out all the bodged wiring carefully implemented by the previous owner.... and failed. The fusebox has been removed and there are a dozen or so lose blade fuses with spade connectors flopping around behind the cover with no labels. Rahhhh

Just trying to hook up the rear view camera so i can switch it on when i want as well as being activated automatically when reverse is selected. Also installing 2 more 12v sockets and 2 usb charging sockets at various points around the vehicle.

The smart car leather seat conversion works a treat, really comfy and I moved the seats inwards 2" giving me more shoulder room. I have fitted quick release bracketry so I can still get into the battery tray if required pretty easily. They are heated and I can highly recommend a conversion of this type, especially if your over 6'.

Ive also just installed an led rear work light and reversing camera with IR so I can see whats what at night. I replaced the rear door with one off a csw as i wanted a rear wiper and the previous one with a spare wheel carrier had split in the usual place.

Shortly will be reinstalling the one of the rear csw windows for the kids to look out of, and replacing the other commercial side with a storage locker accesible from the outside

no to be fair its not a looker. especially at the minute it the god awful gloss "camo" that the previous owner applied. Its shocking.

Soon as the weather warms up itll be getting painted navy blue.

The main thing is thus far with all the accesories and bits n bobs it stands me at around £2500 :)

old school 200tdi (not by me) actually half a decent engine conversion, its just the wiring in the engine bay that lets it down (again its all over the place and untidy)

Just ordered a big sheet of aluminium (or aloominum for our 'murican' friends) to replace the sunroof that the ice cracked the other week.

My temporary bodge of duck tape failed in a puff of wind we had last week (70mph) and i got in it yesterday to find the drivers seat was covered with 2" thick of solid ice... bugger

I bought a timing belt kit last night, the lockin pin tool set, new alternator and power steering belt kit too.

I think the lack of power may be down to the timing as its loss was very sudden and i seem to have checked everything else!

Never done the belt on a diesel before, but fingers crossed... should be ok :) ive read a few helpful guides etc on it.

If it turns out not to be that, well at least I shouldnt have to worry about the belt for a while :) and the alternator and power steering belts are worn at the minute and slip if they get wet (most annoying) so again..... cant hurt can it!
