Hi
Sorry to say it but no It does'nt sound well at all (sorry) It sounds rather like the hydraulic tappets have forgot the meaning of Hydraulic (Tappets are no good)
I have the very same problem with my 89 EFi after an oil change (The oil came out thick I'm thinking a heavy grade oil was put to keep the tappets quiet) Now half of the engine is in the Kitchen.
It's not a hard job to change them, just time consuming (Provided you know a little and have a Torque Wrench, Allen Key, 13mm Socket, 10,11,12,14 mm Socket & Spanner)
The Tappets are located under the Plenum Chamber, Trumpets, Inlet Manifold, at the end of the push rods. (((( Not in the Rocker boxes as I got told )))
I assume the second set of clunks are the seatbelts ? If not you have major problems ((Nothing which can't be resolved))
I Hope this helps and doesn't scare you
charlotte
PS if you can do it yourself it will be loads cheaper (Specialist quoted me £400, LR quoted £800+Vat)
