For a couple of weeks now noticed that when we get to between 50-60 car starts to vibrate. If l push down it stops around 70.

I did have new wheel bearings on both front wheels a few months back but vibration only just started... could the wheels need balancing?

It's quite likely that the propshaft centre bearing rubber support has collapsed. It's very common but annoyingly requires a complete replacement propshaft.

how much is that likely to cost? Someone suggested l needed to get the wheels balanced so it’s getting done tomorrow... sounds like that might be a waste of money

If it was the wheels out of balance, particularly the front, then you'd feel it through the steering, not the floor. I'd get the propshaft centre bearing checked myself.
