Hello,
Just had a brake servo failure due to a split pipe, the pipe is about 1/4" od and a 1/16" bore and attaches to a tee piece which is inserted in the main vacuum pipe. Can anyone tell me where the other end goes, it shoots off between the bulkhead and the rear of the engine, out of sight. The problem is fixed but would really like to know what this pipe is for, Just in case the other end splits.:D

Regards

It goes to a vacuum servo on the heater box, from memory it operates the recirculation flaps - but with my wine consumption this w/end I could be wrong.
Doing my duty to lower the European wine lake !;)

eightinavee,
Thanks for the reply, I was begining to think that nobody knew.
Your answer sounds about right, that would account for the noise from the heater unit prior to start up. I have the workshop manual for the '95 model (on pdf) which is sadly not the same as mine.
So once again thanks for the reply and keep draining that Lake;)
