Was thinking the same mate.

Not really much for me to update my build thread with lately as all I've done is buy a v8 disco lt77s that I need to convert to fender spec and what with crimbo coming the misus keeps spending me money:rolleyes:

Now the gear box is rebuilt and back in.
I will be starting work on my engine soon, when the carbs are back from being rebuilt.
And I will then just need to sort out some manifolds...:(
It will then be the dilemma of an exhaust system.

Haven't had any problems that needed the intervention of a forum :D, but then I was around before the days of Forums so I think I can cope with most things. :)

The only probs sofar in recent years was 18months ago I had to replace an exhaust Y pipe to manifold gaskit and earler this year the water pump bearing failed luckly for me just a mile or so from home so I had a pump to replace.

have had a accasional starting problem, the engine wouldn't fire (no spark from the end of the king lead) that was handy when I was about to disembark from the ferry in Calais and me with the bonnet up and a impatient D2 owner (you should the look I was getting him and the femail passenger) waiting behind.

I just wiggled the coil leads and it started ok, It's happened twice again so unclipped the coil and amp connections cleaned them and refitted and still had a problem was begining to suspect the original king lead but that tested with a meter ok, but for the last 4 months starting has been ok.. strange. :D

Passed the MOT last week with another 1,048 miles on the clock from the previous one.. Weekend disco drivers :(

same here!....

I shall tempt fate by saying all three V8 3.9Efi's in this household are running well!!!

Although one minor thing of late has been the heated windscreen on the silver daily driver has become a bit iffy.....sometimes doesnt switch on, ie no click from the relay or light on the switch when it decides it isn't going to switch on...Other times it switches on as soon as the button is pressed....but, I guess it's probably just a loose connection somewhere or relay not happy.

ive been quiet cos ive been busy havin my new garage built 30 square meters floor area with pit, cavity walls and another car port in front of it so I can three cars under cover and still have workshop space. painted the floor at the weekend and still waitin for it to dry- darn cold weather.
