Can anyone, Mod, site designer, member please post a "how to" for uploading photos. I have typed a post, clicked on Upload a file, when it has uploaded I get an error message saying the file is too big.????? it's only one photo !! Does it need reducing in size? if so HOW? Never had a problem with the old site, grumble, grumble, grumble.

It was a photo of two piggin syncro hubs I was trying to upload. I'm asking for advice on how to reduce file size, I am an old fart who isn't putor literate so there is now use telling me what to do without telling me how. You might as well be talking to me in Scottish. I never had this problem with the old site so do we put it down to progress?this image's file size is 100 times smaller that the max upload.
some ideas
you could either stop using your camera's max resolution.
learn to reduce the file size
use an external service which reduces it for you
see if roy will add an addon which reduces files for you(though this may harm server performance)
(btw file size isn't the same as image size (in pixels)
By the way, you are missing your front number plates.
