i have a standard 2003 td5 with a 110amp per hour battery.
if i run a 45w 12v coolbox on it how long should it last.
or put another way how long before there is not enough umph in the battery to start the engine.

i guess there maybe to many variables for a specific answer.

also is there a permenant live and earth at the socket end of a 12s socket ? if so if i look from the flap end which are they.

thanks

mat

Yer cool box draws about 4A, so theoretically yer battery will last 110/4 = 27.5 hrs.
However, your batery is unlikely to still have it's absolute full capacity and may not be fully charged at the start. You will also need sone juice to start your engine.
I wouldn't rely on it lasting any more than 12 to 15 hours to be honest.

& that might not leave nearly enuff oomph ter turn yer injun in the morning neeva!

Split charge system then. ;)
