I thought I would post my experience with the set of 'Event ML698' A/T tyres which I fitted last November.
The size is 235/70 x 16 and I was recommended these by a good friend who runs a big tyre business. I had intended to buy a better-known brand, but the recommendation was right and the price extremely attractive.
I have now done around 8000 miles and have used them on mud, farm-tracks and normal tarmac roads. The main use for my Discovery 300TDi is for towing glider trailers and a flat-bed car trailer. I also marshal on rallies, often in forests.
The road-holding is good for such an open pattern tyre and the handling is excellent with good predictability. Wear rate is low and the tyres still look almost like new. Road noise is acceptable and what is normal for an A/T tyre.
I can highly recommend them for medium off-road use and general driving. With Winter coming it gives me confidence that living in the country if we got any really bad weather it will be no problem for me.
Will I buy another set of these eventually? You bet.
