Evening all. Just doing some research on new tyres. Been looking at going for the Insa Sahara 265/70/16's as this gives better traction area on ground without going stupid on height. What I need to know is. Would I need wheel spacers.

I reckon so - 235 is as a wide as you can go without rubbing I believe, depending on tread patten. My 235/70/16 Insa Turbo Traction tracks JUST touch the inner arches on full lock as they have chunky side lugs - a road tyre wouldn't I am sure.

Why do you want a 265 anyway? That's pretty wide! You can see mine on Sat anyway :)

All this has just been covered in another thread. Wheel spacers are for when wider rimmed wheels are fitted, to line the wheel centre up over the hub. Not to stop your grossly oversized tyre hitting the inner arch. Take note of max tyre widths for rim width chart at bottom of calculator.
