Hi Guys, I have done a search but found nothing like the issue I seem to have.

I have noticed that when it gets really cold overnight, my trip counter seems to reset itself to 0.

Has anyone ever come across this before or know what is causing it?

Can it be fixed?

Hope someone out there can help.

Many Thanks

Nigel

Battery on its way out, I know you will say it starts fine, do the lights start dim and then brighten up another sign. it will be resetting the trip as you crank the starter.
have seen battery to go on for a while but would look at replacing.

Funny you should say that 'booboodag', it wouldn't start last night due to a low battery. Charger said it was at 60%.
Charged it up for a few hours and it started. The trip counter reset itself, but it was not that cold so you may be on to something there.
Might be a good idea just to get a new battery before the cold weather really sets in.

I expect it's an internal clock fault. My trip counter doesn't reset when the battery is removed, even after a 6 month layup!!
