great idea. get one on strata or pheasant steps quickly i say.

Put up a few signs with it aswell if it will help. im not so much bothered about catching them as iam stopping them do it!

How much would a said device be? As I am wanting something like that at home to watch my Landy while im not in.

Try this:

Network IP Cameras - Astak Mole IP Camera

I got me a couple of these, to watch the house etc when we're away. They do audio, low-light and have built-in IR illumination for total darkness too. And you can watch the feed and control the pan/tilt from anywhere - even from your iPhone. Not cheap, but well worth it.

Not quite as simple as that. The cameras will have to be registered with a local authority and warning signs placed up if they are to be used as evidence in a Court...well it used to be that way but things could be different now.

I'm sure with speed cameras they can be positioned in locations without the need for warning signs sio this may well extend to this type of camera too.

What type of Camera?? they're been used by members of the public not plod. Same laws apply to treadlightly, GLASS CRAG etc etc, as it does to the rest of us. NO clear signs = not admissable as evidence. and they may even be breaking the law by putting the camera's up in the first place.

regarding photography and recording video is that "wherever your eyes can legally go, a camera can legally go"

As long as the cameras only cover your private property theres no issue. If you are seen on the property then no issue with it being used legally as you could argue its a hobby to cover wildlife that just happened to pick up trespassers.

I think any judge would accept it were you to want to skip the fine and take your chances.
