Just had the MOT on my 9 300. Front offside track rod and drag arm ends need replacing.

Thought I might give it a go myself.

When I looked on ebay it seems that they are both the same but there were a couple of option .

Do I need left or right threaded ones

Is it worth getting greaseable ones and what is the advantage

You need both, left & right hand. The non grease able ones should be sealed for life, but the ones with the nipple need more maintaince but I think are better. Loads of videos on you tube. Just remember to count the number of turns it takes to unwind then your tracking should be close enough.
If it comes with castle but uou must put locking tab through it
 
o/s track rod is RH thread, drag is RH & LH, LH being the axel end, while your at it may as well replace the n/s track rod end which is a RH thread.

There was info on changing track rod ends in Buster photo Land Rover repairs, so if u look.

The near side were done last year. So I need a right hand and left hand threads. It is the far o/s drag that I need.

Ok bu t u did say "drag arm ends need replacing" So if u mean the steering box end only then that is also a right hand thread.

This info is based on when your disco left the factory, as it's possible to install the drag link or or fit ball joints in the reverse position.

Now I am confused I need to replace the track rod ends both on the offside. That connect to the wheel side

I was shown a track rod end on front side of the axel and a drag arm end on the other. Both offside. I need to replace these two. Track rod has a rh thread got that.

Still not sure about the drag arm left or right thread.
