This is the eBay item numberfor a towbar with 12N 12S electrics, 230543619347, good for caravans, if you just want lights they are 10 to 15 quid cheaper.

The instructions look pretty simple to follow. You will probably need a torque wrench if you've not got one.

bought mine on ebay, takes about an hour to fit.

Indeed there is a connector behind the rhs rear trim panel. Either buy a standard kit, the cut and splice into the connector, or pay a little more for a custom wiring kit and it will just plug in.

(there are only single electrics behind the panel, if you want full twin electrics it'll be a different kit)

Wouldn't worry about a torque wrench too much, just do the bolts up bastard tight. Mines been fine, towed all sorts with it.

Just doing them up seriously tight denies the opportunity of a man aquiring more tools!!

Besides, one man's 'bastard tight' is another mans, "pass me the other bolt please, this one just broke" :)

If you have experience of swinging on a breaker bar, or ratchet then yes, but if you're not an experienced mechanic a torque wrench can help avoid much embarrassment.

Only my 2d based on experience :)

Got mine of ebay for £60 (Nearly new), and bought ebay item 230734889547, which is the plug in single electrics. (£25). Took about an hour to fit, job done.

After using it a couple of times, I went back under and checked everything was still 'bastard tight'. There's also talk about changing the relay to upgrade the electrics. I never bothered, but then the electrics on the trailer work fine.

Be careful of not changing to the Heavy Duty relay as there is a possibility of blowing a fuse if you were to have the hazard lights running for any length of time with a trailer connected.

You would then be powering a total of 8 bulbs.

A normal turn left or right is of course 3 bulbs for a short period.
