Tong / Parkwood 4x4 pay n play anyone?

Anyone off to Parkwood Off-Road Centre on sunday 10th June?

I will be along there m'self...Weather forecast ok for sunday, though will be nice n gloopy from rains we're getting at the mo!

used to go years ago, you could drive anything as long as it didnt have dumper tyres.
Its a good site and i want to revisit but am a bit put off. Is it right you need an inductoin and can only follow set routes,why would they need to look at your logbook and surely insurance ie void off road.
Im not being a arse just asking

No strict induction. But, if someone's not been you get a site map. The site rules are on the form to fill in on entry (or printout from their website and take with you), just common sense and safety stuff including truck reg, driver names and next of kin info. Yeah, showing V5, MOT n insurance documents just shows them that you are not taking a scrap yard special around the site I guess.
No set routes. Some are one way (again for common sense and safety reasons), and occasionally some parts are closed/ taped off depending on the state of the ground, and I have seen part closed off with construction machinery there, so presumably for site maintainance reasons.

To be honest I don't mind, I have nothing to hide, and have actually gone back to the site more than a few times now because it's one of the better organised sites around.
There's been a couple of other sites I been to that are quite frankly fookin shocking with ****s racing across tracks, fook anyone else, and generally being idiots....and that's just the 'marshalls'!!! , that also give the impression they're pub mates with site organiser asked the night before, who happen to own a 4x4!!

Top venue and very well organised. One of my fave Pay & Play sites.

It was that site that made me decide to buy a Disco and ditch the FL2.
Waaaaay too expensive to be discovering the joys of green laning & off roading in.

me and my uncle will be there, me green disco uncle series 1 orange with series 3 cab top.

they ask for MOT Insurance etc as people in the past have taken cars ragged em round and left them, its then agro for them to get rid, especially if stolen etc.

im tempted but it might be a bit far for me, if i go i'll be in a green 110 hardtop

cool!...don't see many series 1 about at pay n plays!

Yep, that would make sense about them havin probs of cars being left....there's been plenty of times stuff has 'nearly' been left in the car park!!! (gets to the early afternoon before ya start seeing bonnets up!)

I'm trying to get a group together to come up with tomorrow. Looking promising.

Is that pond as deep as it used to be.
I used to come down out the wood into the pond,do a five point turn then up a wicked slope .main part of the pond far to deep for my old series 1

Say hellp if ya see us...I will be in the bobtail old Range Rover (one in my avatar). I think my mate Rob will be in passenger seat, as we plan doin some winching on a black route or two

I will be there as its not too far from me, any chance of tagging along with someone as every one I know has dropped out last minute. Never been to this site so looking forward to it, got to be better than Frickley with all the chavs in their suzuki's!

Not so nice for the owner. He made a right mess of the front of it after his ice breaking wanderings inc putting a hole in the rad!

Whole car wobble - mine did that when the rear donut let go.
