I have 98 Dodge Dakota 4 x 4.Using the stock rims and no lift kit,I
know the max tires that will go under it are 31 x 10.50 x 15,because
of the turn raduis.I was wondering, then by math if you reduced the
width you could ,in turn, increase the height.Such as go down by 1 inch
as 32 x 9.50 x 15 or 33 x 8.50 x 15.Is this possible???I have been
looking for the 33's but found nothing.But have have found 32 x 9.50 x
15 Super Swappers TSL.Footprint is realy 8.5.Will this work.Any help
would be most appreciated.Thanks...............Rick

Generally that is possible. Swampers tend to run on the narrow side as you suggest, but they also tend to be taller than spec.
I used to run 33x9.50 BFGs and 33" Swawmpers and the BFGs were barely 32" tall new and the Swampers were well over 33" tall even
worn out.

I was toying with buying something other than the BFG Mudders (mainly because money is
tight now) but I guess that's a no-go. No one stocks anything locally other than the BFGs
and Goodyears. Cooper also makes a mudder but no one stocks it. There are actually a lot
of tires I can find on the internet but again, no local stores carry them (or if they do
they are about 300% higher than Discount Tires prices). With my kind of luck, I don't want
to run tires that have to be ordered in, which all the locals say takes about 5 days.
