Hi all,
The fan belt snapped at the weekend and I have ordered a new one to fit.
But this got me thinking about the timing belt, I have some service history on the landy and it says that the belt as replaced 8 years/ 96thousand miles ago. It may have been changed but no idea.
I have changed the timing belt on a 200tdi, but this looks a bit more complecated and re-bult a series 2a from the ground up.
Can anyone tell me how hard it is to change? If I would be able to do it ? As the dealer is looking for £650 to change it plus £100 for the belt. That is more that what the landy is worth .
I had a look in rave and it says that the engine has to come out ? is that correct ? If so any pointers in doing this job
