Hello, my name is Neil and I only signed up here the other day.

I know there are plenty of decent threads for what I am about to ask / do, but I was wondering if anyone here is from Leicester that might be able to add a helping hand.

I need to replace my rear diff mounts, I have read the thread that explains it, but I am a little worried about doing it on my own.

I haven't got a decent jack, any ramps, or axle stands either.

Would anybody be prepared to lend me some? otherwise I will have to buy them (which would be a good thing) but money is a little tight at the moment.

Any help / advice would be very greatly appreciated.

Thank you

if i was you id go to the introduce ya section first before essex or pitbull arrive lol

then list your location as to where you are to see what members are local to you

Apologies for the delay.

I can happily say that I fitted them the day after i posted this (went halfords and bought some ramps), it was really easy (a lot easier than I expected) and no I no longer have any banging noise when pulling off in 1st and 2nd gear.

No I have a strange sort of metal clicking behind the rear seats that I need to fix.

Thanks

I cut a hole in my boot floor yesterday and found the bolt.

I took the bolt out and had a good look.

There is no crack in the chassis, and no rot, everything looks really good.

However, I did notice that the square nut fits into another square that is fixed to the chasis, the smaller square is really small and moves around inside the larger square.

I drilled 4 holes in each corner of the larger square and down into each corner of the smaller square, I then filled the holes with some weld, put it all back together, and hey presto, no more cracking :)

WAHOOO

Thanks for everyones help!
