I buy gm dexos 2 at 12.50+vat a gallon and it does bmw and vw long life services

but as no landies have VW engines...

Absolutely

it will be spot on

it's approved to vw 505.01 which is the fixed interval/arduous use pump dusse engine oil so it will have a lot of ep additives in the oil to protect the pump and the camshaft in these engines

will be more than good enough

i use halfrads semi doozle oil i know the purist say fully snth . . . .but it int done no harm to my 2002 auto :) :) :) :)

Semi synthetic 5w-30 is the land rover recommendation which is absolutely fine as they are not on longlife servicing like the bmw's

just get the halfords ford spec 5w-30 semi

see now im well confused......my mate said 15/40 is recommended, people on here say 10/40 and you say 5/30:confused:

it is a td4 by the way

i spotted you had a td4 from your signature

it's definately 5w-30 semi synthetic (ford spec) or fully synthetic BMW LL04 oil recommended for the td4

All the above are suitable! (read my previous comment from RAVE) you could always call your local dealer and ask him if you want another opinion, i use 10w/40 as its the middle ground and i have done 136K in my freebie if you have have only done a low mileage then 5w/30 will be fine...

Hello This is my 1st post here so be gentle please! Where can I buy Dexos 2 at £12.50+vat per gallon?

Dexos 2 is the new oil spec from GM

you can get it from any vauxhall dealer

not sure about the 12.50 per gallon bit though you'll have to shop around
