Hi All,

I think the time may have come for me to part with my P38, After a year of ownership and the worlds supply of parts, time and money. I looking to change to something different. Was after some input into what its realistically worth.....

Basically its a 4.0 SE, 1997 on a P' in blue completely standard with no after market extras added. 155k miles, Comes with all the normal refinements expected of the SE range. Light cream leather etc etc.

In the last year of ownership it has had a brand new V8 engine complete with top hat liners covered around 7k miles. 4 tires. several full services as i believe in giving the engine a oil and filter at 3000 mile intervals. oil cooler pipes, Fuel Pump, brake pipes. Discs and pads all round, new front bumper assembly. Door switches, locks. Everything works as it should with no faults. There are a few small blemishins on the paint work but nothing major. Standard 16" alloys. Just put a years MOT and Tax on her.

Any one have some ideas to her value. i know i wont come close to re coping what i have spent on her in a year. think from last count it was some were in the 4-5k mark parts alone. But just looking to test the water.

Any input great fully received.

Thanks

Bryan

Hi Bryan
Now you have done all that work would you not be better keeping it ?
TBH you will be doing well to recoup what you have spent on it, never mind what you paid for it in the first place
Can you afford to give it away for nothing ?

The thought has crossed my mind and being that i have been through every system on her putting things right. but with a company car on the horizon. The thought of parking her up in my workshop with a sheet over her seams criminal.

I new at the point of putting a engine together. I had passed the point of no return, but what do you do.

Thanks though. Maybe with a few more thoughts like that I will end up keeping her.

Happy days

Bryan.

I know it's ****ty Bryan but you have a hard decision to make
Only you will know if you are comfy with taking a HUGE hit on what it owes you
Personally I would keep it -if you don't need the cash, use it at weekends and holibags and enjoy it now you have it running well
If you do decide to sell then forget ebay - stick to the mags if you want to hold out for as much as possible
It's a buyers market just now though.........................................
