Lots of you will maybe have sat nav (such as tom tom etc) theft of these devices is now the number one in the toerags top ten! Here's a tip, always take the device out when leaving the vehicle, and also take the holder off the screen or dash, they will still break in hoping you have left it in the car somewhere. Also and I know this may sound stupid but believe me it's true, rub off the round mark the suction cup makes, as this is still telling them you have one even though they can't see it. It's a pain but may save you the cost of your device, and they aren't cheap!!

Already had the window smashed in the wifes Freelander as she used my sat nav but after i took it back i left a window mount on her dash, yes you've guessed it they smashed the window and left the glovebox open, they took nothing else, i had a Leatherman utility knife in the glovebox but they didnt touch it all they where after was the sat nav that wasnt there.

£50 lighter on her glass excess and a lesson learnt.

Zippy

I always take my sat nav out the car but overlook the windscreen suction mount. Nice one Jerry, I'll be taking the whole thing out from now on.
Maybe I should remove the cigarette lighter power supply too?

Yes, a fake booby-trap and hide a real bouncing-betty under the car which explodes as soon as it senses a potential thief looking into your car.:D :D

Willo, I like your style ;)

Yes, unfortunately in real life this is not allowed, one could hurt the privacy of these dumbos. You are not allowed to protect your property or belongings or you face jail. Therefore another solution is hide behind a tree, at some distance of your car, equipped with a .:D :D
