my local site charges about 2 quid for one of there marshals to wash your 4x4, they do a good job of it helps pay towards the use of petrol and upkeep of the pressure washer and just about everybody is more than happy to pay the 2 quid.

mainly focus on the tyres (good straight bit of concrete to ram it down after is good) headlights, windows, registration plates, tail lights, indicators ect. all the important legal bits! bodywork doesn't matter :)

Thanks Nick. Good info mate. The propsoed site is close to a very quiet village so the last thing I would want to do is upset them. If all goes to plan and I secure the land then the local village and I will need to work closely. The main thing would be road dirt followed a very close second by noise etc.

All the best,

A

If there's a little village, it's a good idea to put up a polite notice asking for 4x4 drivers to drive through slowly.
Our local site had complaints about this so they put up notices in the pay desk :)

Best not to upset the locals :)

It will have to be a very well thought out process but they seem like a good bunch. That being said, a subject of this nature will challenge their patience for sure.
