Hi All
Well I think i managed to sort out all the problems with the Freelander, but to be honest I just lost heart with the car. Every noise made me and my wallet nervous and I needed to raise some cash, so I sold it.
I'm not toally convinced there was anything really wrong with it and certainly the new owners are as pleased as punch with it. Ithink teh cars are just poorly put together and the resonance from the diesel engines just vibrates anything that is remotely loose? I shimmed the wings with rubber grommets under every bolt. I tightened and realigned just about everything i could but stillhad a few niggly rattles?
Despite these annoying things I did like the car and was sorry to see it go. But as my mate said I'm too fussy to own a car that rattles. He may be right?
Anyway, thanks for all the advice, sarcasm and laughs. Tis a good site and I enjoyed my time on here. The Mrs still misses the Freelander so whoknow we may even get another at somestage? Until then, Adios Amigos.
Oh and the replacment, a rather tidy 2.0, 5 door Suzuki Grand Vitara! No, I don't do perms.
Best,
Dave
