Yes. 6mm Aluminium chequer plate. Cost a tenner a side.
Very careful measuring!! Being 6'5" I've placed the seats about 1" further back for some extra legroom.
Next step is to use a counterbore to remove the tread pattern allowing the bolt heads to sit square, paint the chequer plate black and use 10.9 bolts throughout.
