evening lads and lassies ,just a quick thanks to wills and co for replying to my thread about not turning over , you were right it was the computers scrambling and it cost 75 quid to fix at the same time i got them to put on a ywy500170 (its stuck in my brain ) all in all £239.00 i am relieved ,it was my neighbours taxis and everybodys wireless routers that was doing it ! please also be aware that a new scam is also going on too ,according to the mechanic at greenbank 4x4 here in aberdeen and it is also happening elsewhere ,that a certain company i wont say there name are going into supermarkets and doing something in their cabs with their computers in he car park that is scrambling high performance 4x4s and cars and that people are locked out of their cars ,they look and c the recovery truck and approach them and the driver says £50 quid to sort out mate ! its shocking if you c a orange and white truck in the supermarkets sitting ,drive on !!! the mechanic said they had 20 range rovers in one day last week with this probelm ! keep your eyes peeled guys

By orange and white truck do you mean a CAR in reverse;)
 
hi ya ywy500170 is the part no for the newest rf receiver that land rover has and the mechanic said that there has been no reports of the probelm returning after it has been fitted ! although the origanal in my rangie was ok, that doesnt mean it would happen again in a few days ,so i just got that one fitted ,as my neighbours will still park there and we all use our computers ! you are right on the question too !

very interesting what you said about the crooked man in the orange van if they are doing this with a lap top ! , how or where did they get the programme to disrupt the rf receiver im sure some one out there would be able to find out or some one needs to get in touch with the said company and query them as to the honesty of there operators
 
hi andrew ,it didnt happen to me ,if you read my thread my rangies codes ,was done in my car park at home , with all and most of us having wireless routers and the 2 taxis ,with their equipment ! i ask a question a few weeks back and was told it to check out mysterious battery drain and then decided to get a new rf receiver ! it was the mechanic at the garage that told me ! i am only telling people to be aware ! if it happenened to me i would be straight on the phone mark my words
