Evening all im in need of some new shocks and ive seen some terrafirma shock on island 4x4 seems a great price.

Does any one have these fitted and rate them or what have others fitted and rate.

Many thanks

Do you like a comfy ride? The standard (Boge) dampers tend to be the comfiest - just about all other aftermarket shocks are stiffer which give the car a firmer ride.

Well I would prefer a softer ride but that is hinder with the 19"inch wheels it came with so it can be said it is a bit firmer than normal.

I have recently fitted new dunlop bags to the rear as they where leaking and I noticed the shock looked worn and I get a clicking/clunking noise from the shocks when the vehicle is bounced I believe the seals have gone hard causing the noise so thought it would be best to change as I have no receipt for them ever being changed.

I did see the britpart cellular dynamic ones but I prefer to stay clear of britpart for know reasons.

So boge gets you a softer ride then any other views

I agree with avoiding the Britpart ones especially as Boges are so cheap and the Britpart ones are stiffer - I know someone who fitted them to his car then regretted it.

I do approx 4-5k a year very little offroad depends which fishing lakes I go to and thats about it really. Whatever I fit will be better than what is fitted. With my job working on new landrovers all day the p38 will never run like them no matter what expensive/uprated parts I fit.

If you work on them for a living, you ought to be able to get OEM trade:)
