L322 Td6 gear selection issue

Hi guys currently got home and range rover decided not to play ball. Noticed no reverse, park etc, was driving perfect, reversed on drive then noticed when I went to park the light on the dash stayed in neutral, then noticed reverse went, when I move the selector it feels more sloppy but feels ok selecting drive, also when I move the selector it shows the corresponding light on the selector but not the dash instruments, any help is welcome thanks

Update: selector cable that goes onto gearbox has broken, does anyone know where to find one or part number? And what they are like to change?
