Td5 injector loom is this right ?

I'm about to change the loom but everythink is oily is this right I've only just came back from driving it but I've had a look online and other people's seem to look dry

Yup, mine looked more like Ratty's than Lanny Man's. Unfortunately I didn't take a picture. At the time, I hadn't run the engine for a week as a result of the loom failure though, so I think the oil must all have oozed back into the sump. On my TD5 at least, the oil takes ages to drain back into the sump - the dipstick level takes about 15 mins to stabilise once you turn the engine off, so it might just be residual.

Mind you, the outside of Lanny Man's engine looks a lot cleaner than Ratty's. There's some good wholesome reddish-coloured west country earth in there.

Just looks like your oil is a bit black

All done! what a difference it makes mine wasn't that oily on the red ecu plug (I've seen a lot worse)

Ye yours looks a lot cleaner than mine on the inside :)

She needs a good service Which I will be doing on Friday

Saturdays job rebuild the front axel as I done the rear last week :) along with drop arm ball joint an steering damper
