Hi Guys

The heated seat has stopped working on the drivers side switch still working and element damages in seat.

Going to replace element and have 2 questions

Do I need to replace the back squib at the same time?

Does any one have any instructions on how to replace this getting it out of and back into the foam?

Many thanks

Andy

I just replaced the seat squib. Very straight-forward job. Make sure you keep all the hog rings you take off and replace in the same sequence i.e don't miss any. I placed my new element over the old one as the old one wanted to fetch all off the foam with it. It may be my imagination but it feels like the back squib started working after the new seat squib went in. http://www.discoweb.org/roofrails.htm Click 'seat heater install' on left panel.
Following page has some good info despite being for RR:

The heating element panels for the seat base and seat back are wired in series, so if one fails, the circuit is broken and the other won't heat up either.
