TD5 Auto Transmission Cooler

I'm after some advice, I had a transmission hose blow on my TD5 last week, anyway got it fixed and I was talking to the mechanic and he reckons I should have a 'second' transmision cooler fitted because I tow a 2 tonne boat, any thoughts whether or not its worth doing or is he looking for work?

How heavy is the Boat & Trailer combination? If the total mass is about two tons it should be fine the way it is.

Are you have any bother with the gearbox when towing?

If you drive pedal to the metal the transmission oil will get hotter than if you drive sensibly!
