Freelander 1 td4 white smoke on start up

Hi! I've just been to look at a 2004 td4 manual. It was lovely but lots of white smoke on start up and slightly spluttery until warm but apart from that ran really lovely (new clutch) Its had a new fuel pump and regulator so am guessing an injector maybe? What do you think, and will It be pricey or should I avoid? Thanks!

Sounds like an injector maybe two, you will not know unless a leak back test can be carried out, not to costly if it were an injector or two, they can be cleaned, or even a good injector cleaner added may help, if injector needs to be replaced you can get good used ones for about £40 each, refurbished ones about £75 plus, try and cost that in with your offer if the FL ticks all the other boxes you want.
