On previous diesel cars that I've owned and serviced,I've put neat injector cleaner into the fuel filter when I've changed it.Well,I intend to service it over the holiday season. My question is,after seeing the filter, has anyone got any tips for doing this with the freelander filter?its the long thin type in the wheel arch,in one end,out the other.
all helpful advice greatly appreciated
cheers

I fully understand that some believe it to be snake oil.But I've used it before to good effect.Tunap 134 micro logic, not cheap,as you say,at £20 for 1/2 litre, but its only used once in a while(when changing fuel filter)

Oh, I agree, it helps, but it's very overpriced for what it is. Like all these magic formulas- if you know what they are then you can just use that.

For example, my Ducati suffers carb icing under 10c and is unrideable. The ucre was to use Silkolene Pro FST at over £10 a litre. A bit of research reveals it is isopropyl alcohol, which is considerably cheaper.....

strange you should mention that,I,for my sins once owned a harley 1340 that was also unridable in the cold for the same reasons.I was sold fuel anti freeze which was a pain in the butt and I could only get it from them.I wrote a strong letter to harley uk asking for my money back on the bike as it was unfit for purpose, namely using it,as they couldn't fix the problem, only give me something to help, non of which was mentioned when I bought it new.The dealer got in touch quite quickly and offered me the anti freeze free for life. That was about 15yrs ago now,I didnt keep the bike long, vastly over priced, vastly under spec'ed piece of .........Still got my Bonneville that I've had since '82,never freezes.
