Right this was something I didn't fancy DIYing, so have paid £75 to have autobox oil changed - independent LR specialist job & got them to check diff and IRD levels while at it.
Now on collecting the vehicle (garage had closed so couldn't discuss) there seems to be a slight problem - just want to check if it is a problem or normal after such a job. Symptons are - Firstly - whining noise that seems linked to engine rev speed - not sure if it's coming from gearbox or not, but wasn't there before the fluid change. Secondly when accelerating from standstill going from 1st to 2nd it seems to slip (revs shoot up out of sync with road speed). Only 1st to second mind doesn't seem to affect other gears and is more apparent if acclerating hard (obviously refrained from doing it much)

Now obviously I'll be back in touch with the garage tomorrow - but what could be the cause of this? Anyone any experience of this?
Could this be fluid levels too high/low? Or is it typical expected behaviour that will clear up after time?

I live about 50 miles from the garage so have had to drive some distance home and will have to go back the same distance to return to them. With the little knowledge I have on auto boxes I know that they are suceptible to damage if not done correctly using correct fluids etc & best left to experienced hands so I'm a bit concerned that driving it could worsen things. Should I be concerned?

Any help/advice much appreciated.
