Td4 auto gear change problems

Hi all hope you can help.
My 2001 freelander td4 auto is having problems changing gear,
I only happens going up hill as the car slows because of the incline it should normally drop gear and carry on.
However it has started holding on to the gear and what I can only describe as when in a manual car forgetting to put the clutch in it goes all lumpy as if about to stall. It will eventually drop down and carry on or if accelerated will pick up and carry on.
Any ideas on the hesitation and lumpy bit.

If it's tiptronic have you tried it in manual, what about kick down, is that working, has gearbox oil been changed ?

Yes it works fine in manual, changes gear fine and kick down is working.
Not changed the oil yet, got it booked in on the 16th hoping that might cure it, currently on 103000. And from the looks of the service book it's not been done yet.
 
ref the map sensor is it around 1700 rpm is grumbles and feels like it's going to stall ??

as I changed mine a while back and cured the problem , happended bang on 1700 revs going up hill me had to put it into steptronic or into kick down

no fault shown on hawkeye , thought it was a injector but someone told me about this back then and cured the feeling of it wishing to stall

could be something else but personally the map cured the problem for me ,

as others have said to get the oil checked and done as per hippos instructions, not being rude but extremely important it's dont to the letter

I have it booked in with a landrover specialist so I hope they will do everything correctly when changing the oil.

Kick down or tiptronic work fine and stop the grumbling. I haven't taken much notice of the revs but I'll keep an eye on it to see how it looks.

Is the MAP sensor a DIY job ? Easy access?
Also would the MAF cause any problems was thinking of upgrading any way.

Ive only had the car a year and am slowly correcting every cheap fix that has been done wrong.
Already done:-
Intercooler hoses
4xtyres
VCU and bearings
antifreeze
Rear chassis / sub frame bolts
Window regulator
Fuel pump

Thanks for all your suggestions, it's good to have more opinions :):)
