Hi PLEASE PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP AT MY WITS END, does anyone have pics of how the fuel pump is piped up in the rear off side wheel arch? Fitted a new pump but car is cutting out so thinking it could be done wrong many thx!
CAR RUNS LUMPY, CUTS OUT BUT THEN CAN RUN LIKE A DREAM ?
Or is anyone near in derbyshire to help out PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!

I wish I could help, but I think I may need to attempt this shortly as mine is poss having issues! Could you tell me the steps you took to locate and remove as I don't seem to be able to find any guides apart from that it's in the N/S/R wheel arch.

I presume just take the wheel off and then the plastic arch trim??

I found it easier to peel back the wheel arch liner, but some have done it from below.

Jack the car up remove the wheel use axle stand Fig 1

Remove the scrivets holding the wheel arch liner and peel back there is a screw holding the bottom corner into the car Fig 2/3

you can now set about removing the fuel pump I found it better to remove the whole unit from the car as the fuel pump is very tight indeed unbolt the snow tray brackets Fig 4

Maybe it was on Rover Ron's site that he suggested changing every 12,000 miles. I know I have seen it somewhere. Can't hurt it doing that often.

I always change the fuel filter every 12 months regardless of the mileage I have done, as it is minimal cost ;) also change the PCV Air and Oil filters too.

you are right do not know why I put 70 although I have a problem with my hands and I after look at every thing I type. That's my excuse and I sticking to it. as for the 12000 mile filter change that is the crank case one and the turbo vent filter.
