Long time no post...

Still got the P38, now 15 years old and 115k miles.

One niggling fault - when the upper tailgate is opened using the button, pressing the button again does not unlock the lower tailgate unless I slide the bit of the latch I can see fully to the left (if I don't slide the latch then the motor whirrs but the lower tailgate doesn't unlock). It looks like the latch is sticking in the mechanism, which is why it's not moving itself fully to the left when the upper tailgate is opened. I've had the lock off and tried oiling it, greasing it, cleaning it, swearing at it - but nothing makes any difference. So, I investigated getting a new lock mechanism.....

I've come across three part numbers - ALR4967, ASR1732 and FQR100550. There is a big difference in price between the ALR and FQR part, so I'm wondering what the correct part for my vehicle is - it's a 2000 4.6 Vogue.

Any help as always appreciated :)

FQR100550 supersedes the other two.
