Ok, i've got thinking again that maybe i should have my synergy on something higher than setting 1. What setting are you using? Interested to know! I like the power on 3 but too much smoke under load/motorway overtaking, is this ok long term?

Got our Synergy2 with the remote switch thingy.
Can set to off, setting 1 and another (currently 2)
Off - just leaves MAF comp on - better low down pulling than without.
Setting 1 - Subtle power boost, initially left the missus hovvering just above the speed limits without noticing, getting used to that now and a lighter right foot in training.
Setting 2 - More power and I haven't seen any smoke yet - saving that one for the next time the pikey wagon comes out.
MPG does not seem to have changed on either setting unless heavy right foot is used (no change there then)
Well pleased with the unit, engine picks up better, is smoother and quieter on tick-over - '06 TD4 HSE @ 30k
Not tried settings 3+ yet as more than happy with 1 & 2 so far.
After all we bought a 4x4 not a Mondeo
Tho' did have some Synergy2 fitting problems due to differences in connector profiles. (details in earlier post)

Fitted a few synergies now and I always set to 3 (for a good maf) and only reduce if smoke levels are unacceptable which isn't often. I have found that smoke reduces after some spirited driving to clear out the crap.
