The display on the HSE I just bought had the Black lines.

Wanting to keep the original head unit , more for the great sound and originality of the car, I searched high and low on here about whether you can just fit a removable front panel from another unit.

The only mention I found was someone saying that they were keyed to each other, therefore a panel from another unit would not work.

I managed to source another fully working Landy Becker head unit very cheaply.

I expected to have to swap the whole unit, but I thought I'd try the new panel on my existing unit first

TaDaaaa! You can simply swap the panels! The only security issue (as it says in the manual) is that you will be asked for the security code (of the main unit, not the new display panel). Works perfectly and quite cheap and easy.

Anyone want a Becker HK Nav head unit with a dodgy display, all leads, GPS aerial and 2004 discs :) I'll keep them as spares

Hopefully this will help someone else
