Swap aircon from breaker

Hi, how practical is it to transfer aircon from my old disco2 to new one, full swap of fan / climate switches too.

that depends if you're doing the work or not and if you know whether it works or not…..

I assisted with fitting a standard a/c system into a RRC many years a go, one day to harvest all the kit from the donor RRC and two and a bit days to fit it we had to change the dash to get the additional vents and then get an a/c engineer to commission the system.
It's a complete dash removal job and there's a lot mechanical and the electrical stuff to fit so make you have all of the wiring loom.
I would think there will be a bit more work with climate control with the additional sensors and servos.

Thanks, I know the aircon works, but changing the dash in the black interior for the one from the light brown interior may be a bodge too far.

Seeing how similar the early D2 dash appears to be to the late D1 , how much of it actually is crossover-able ? I know that the pack of switches from the D2 that lives where the clock is on D1 is a relatively easy bit of cut'n'splice....anyone done any more ?

is this the dash swop all that you are doing or is it the complete A/C system your swapping over?

The full works, but now it does seem less likely.
